Navigating the next months

How are you setting your compass?

A couple of weeks ago I talked about having 3 key activities to work on for marketing your business this month. Some short term actions to keep consistency going. Something like increasing from 3 to 5 social media posts per week. Or sending an email to your contacts to tell them something new. Or reaching out to call someone every day if you enjoy connecting on the phone.

But as well as focusing on what is achievable right now, we are also half way through the year – and taking a look at what could be possible for the upcoming months is also key.

Now is the time to look at what you have managed in the last few months and to decide – is the way that we are doing things right now going to cut it for the next months as well?

How can we navigate the next months?

I know we can’t predict much right now … but we do have the experience of the last few months to guide us and learn from. Now is a good time to review some of the changes and pivots we had to make and to see how those served us.

Can our current strategy work for the next months too?
What have the pros and cons been?
What things are sustainable and which are not?
Can I think of a couple of alternative actions that could come into play if needed?

When you can put a system in place, it makes everything easier. But being complacent about the system is not the answer – so regular review – monthly, quarterly, annually – means that we can tweak the systems and get the most out of them.
